Welcome to Windsor Early Childhood!

Our Early Childhood Special Education and Pre-Kindergarten teachers are highly trained to provide quality instruction based upon each child’s individual needs, focusing on learning through play. In our program, you will find engaging, supportive classrooms in which ALL children can succeed.

Windsor Early Childhood offers half day programming Monday through Thursday. The morning session is 8:15-11:15, and the afternoon session is 12:15-3:15. We have no class on Fridays. Classrooms are housed inside the district’s elementary schools:

Early Childhood Special Education

Our Early Childhood Special Education classes are made up of 3-5 year old students across all levels of development. Our classrooms are integrated, which means they are made up of children with and without disabilities. For students who qualify, our program offers services including speech/language therapy, occupational therapy, and physical therapy. Each of our classrooms has a certified teacher and at least one paraprofessional to keep the teacher to student ratio low and provide plenty of support to students.

Title I (One) Pre-Kindergarten

Our Title I Pre-K classrooms are for students who turned 4 by July 31 of that school year, and will be going to Kindergarten the following year. These classrooms each have a certified teacher and paraprofessional, and may have up to 15 students. Students must meet certain criteria to enroll in our Title I classrooms. The program is designed to provide early education to children who may be at risk for less success in kindergarten.

Title I Preschool Screenings will be completed by Parents as Teachers during the months of March and April of each year, or by appointment. You may contact Parents as Teachers at (636)-464-4499 to learn more or make an appointment.
