Hall of Fame Guidelines

The Windsor C-1 School District has established a Hall of Fame to recognize outstanding past graduates and staff members of the Windsor C-1 School District. This is part of a continuing effort to fulfill the goals adopted by the Windsor C-1 Board of Education. The purpose of the Hall of Fame is to recognize and commend individual achievement of Windsor Alumni, which in turn would promote staff self-esteem and positive role models for students.

A Hall of Fame committee, made of up of citizens, students and staff, is annually appointed by the Hall of Fame Director and charged with developing the original guidelines for a selection process for Hall of Fame inductees.

The Hall of Fame committee has adopted the following guidelines for the Hall of Fame selection process:

Candidate Qualifications

The candidate must be a living graduate of the Windsor High School, have attended 10th, 11th, and 12th grades in the Windsor C-1 School District and must have graduated at least 10 years ago. Selection is to be based upon leadership, character, achievement, services, and suitability as a role model. The candidate cannot be a member of the present Board of Education or Hall of Fame committee.

Nominator Qualifications

The nominator can by anyone who can attest to the qualifications of the person he or she is nominating except the nominator shall not be a member of the nominee’s immediate family.

Selection

The Hall of Fame Committee will select from the submitted nominees no more than five (5) candidates. The candidates will be presented to the Windsor C-1 Board of Education for review and consideration and, if approved, be inducted into the Hall of Fame.

Recognition

The Hall of Fame appointees will be notified of their selection and invited by the Windsor C-1 Board of Education to visit the Windsor Schools and participate personally in recognition activities. Each year the names of the appointees will be added to the Hall of Fame display at the Windsor C-1 Senior High School.
